Twenty seven families were affected by land slide in Walapane D.S division in 2006 December. but till now, people are in the refugees camp in Naranthalawa. before they affected, they were engaged in the agricultural field but now their livelihood is a question mark because they lost their agricultural land after the land slide. so those families are going for a daily wage and became cooly . also those people are nervours to go for an action because of the D.S . although they expecting a sustainable solution for thier livelihood and residences.
